Ransomware is something we should all be aware of
It’s pretty scary that this is the way things are going in technological world.
But here are a few quick tips to keep these in mind when you are using a computer.
- Make sure to always be aware of what emails you are opening. Think before opening any attachments. Are you expecting them? Do you know this person? Does it look fishy?
- Make sure you have proper backups! You need backups that are offline or online like a cloud based backup. Just not copies of files on your computer.
- Make sure you have a reliable antivirus software installed and that it is up to date. (did you know that both Videotron & Bell offer a free antivirus?)
