What to do when Microsoft remote desktop will not connect says “Estimating connection quality”
Have you been experiencing issues with the saturated networks when connecting remotely?
Cable internet at times when too many users are connected gets affected as does wireless internet.
**Speedtest gave decent results however when trying to remote connect was faced with the following. The popup window kept saying “Estimating connection quality… ” and kept going and going and would not make the connection.


RESOLUTION:
1) Change the connection settings -. Click Show Options


2) Go to the Experience Tab – Change the connection speed to low-speed broadband (256 kbps – 2 Mbps) . This will remove a lot of useless options you will not even miss.


3) Try the connection again.
